Working Out

Working Out

Hey im realtivly new at surfing and I was trying to find a good workout program but i have been unsucessful and I was just wondering if there was anyone out there who has one that they seem to like so they could give me a few pointers.

That depends a lot on how old you are. I go to the jim and lift weghts. at the jim i run too on that thing to run (i dont know how it is called because english is not my first language).

I think lifting weights is a great suplementary exercise for any sport. You need to do something else more aerobic too, as surf needs it a lot. Running is good. Swimming is great.

You should not lift a lot of weight though. That is important. Very big and strong muscles are not very resistant, so you will paddle very fast but not for long.

I am no doctor, so i don't really know this stuff, but that´s what works for me.

do some paddling on ur board just whenever, like on a nice day out with no waves so u can workout ur shoulders, then later on drag a bucket behind you and start paddling
