it was made by a machine. the "shaper" punches in the design and then this big ol' machine cuts out the shape. shaping is pretty much math, but also art. so the person who uses the machine uses other shapers designs and such to make these boards. instead of taking 2 hours or more to shape one board, it takes about and hour or less for 2 boards to be cut, fixed up, checked, re checked, and so on.
this is supposed to help out big names in the surf industry to ship out orders like
Lost surfboards,
Channel Islands Surfboards, G&S, and soooo on.
i dont support the big names, i like to see the local shops stay in business, so i get their boards.
