What are some good surf movies?? like Point Break and such. And I remember theres some guy who writes surfing stories, but i dont remember his name, so im bummed out about that

So yeah, if you people could make a list of movies you like put it down, and if you know what other or if theres more than one author put him/her down too please.

There is a good book titled "Zero Break", released about a year ago (can't remember the editor guy's name). It's a good collection of various types of surf writing by different authors compiled into seperate chapters... like a collection of short stories. Pick up a copy from your Library & make a note of the author's names within. All are easily available. I really enjoyed it.

A really good book about surfing is called 'Walking on Water' - I think it's by a guy called Andy Martin.

Basically it goes back a few years when Martin Potter won the Triple Crown. This guy Andy Martin managed to convince the Times in London to fund a trip out to Hawaii to 'cover' the Triple Crown event because Martin Potter has some vague connection to being english!!

Essentially he goes out there to learn to surf and it's all about the people he meets and how he tries to surf at Sunset. It's a funny book, right down to the fact where US customs want to stop him because his visa isn't in order, but he produces a business card he made on one of those 'make your own business card' machines in the airport which says:

Andy Martin, Surfing Correspondent, The Times, London.

So they let him through on that basis!!!!!!
