choice of my 1st surfboard

The choice of the 1st surfboard is always the question for those who keen to learn surfing and so do I. I am 58kg, 5'5' looking for a surfboard to progress further. i know i should be looking for a funboard/ minimal but i m not sure what is size, width and thickness of the board I am after. I don't have a local spot for surfing as i live far away from the coast, most of the time i went away from UK to catch some wave, so I m looking for a board which allow me to have some fun and stable ride in vary conditions.
