Yep its true guys i have moved into my van for the next 6 months. Saving for a deposit for a flat in walking distance of the world famous boscombe surf reef! :surfing:

So if anyone needs a drive re tarmacing, i'm your man! :ninja:

Good job the man has been throughly tested in the alps as i think its gonna be a cold winter.
Oh and happy friday peeps. :beer:

Pikey/cacker/person who lives in a caravan and drives a white van, speaks with an irish accent and is generally not the type of person you would trust to resurface your drive with tarmac.
The surf at bosvegas is still good, just not where the reef lies. Also the kiting is fine! :woot:

@ Jaffa, Pikey is a derogatory term originally used to describe Irish and Romani travelling communities. It now generally extends anyone of the lowest socio economic back grounds and is used much as you might use Bogan, if you were so inclined.

Good on ya, Kitey! If you are like me, then you may find it completely suitable and never take the flat. I've gone "bush" twice in my life and also seen one of my excursions turn into 3 months of travel & living in my SUV.

But thanks for the handy tips. Had a visit from the fuzz last night, wanted to know what i was doing etc etc. Surprisingly they said no worries we have no problems with you staying where i was for the night and disappeared off saying they would drive by later just to check up on me.!!!!

Refreshing story about the law.

Here's a humorous idea that you could share with us and could lead to a book of post cards you may be able to sell:

Make a photo of each location you park or camp at. Include a few notes that include location name, date, fun fact, interesting tidbits, proximity to surf break, beach, lake, skateboard park, or good diner, etc.

Hahaha trust me the weekdays won't make enthralling reading. I'm usually in bed with some horlicks and a good book by 9pm. :wink:

And so far the weekends have been windless and as im saving the only trip down the west country will be over the festive period for 2 weeks.
Of course if anything of note does happen you will all be the first to know. None of my wilding spots i use during the week are by surf spots, actually they're the kind of spots one might expect to find couples engaging in extra marital activities.

Kitey the pikey
Lives in a van
eats from a can
whenever he can.
Makes all the surf scenes
reeking of beans
Says that's all that I need
and my bottle of mead.
He stays in the van
be it hot or quite cold
his wetsuit is famous
for all sorts of mould.

Well hopefully i will only be a pikey for 3 months as news hot in off the press is that i have an offer accpeted on Kitey mansions.
