Longboard lock?

Longboard lock?

Postby themathteacher » Mon Nov 12, 2012 3:25 am

I am going to start taking my longboard out on small days and. If waves are good, I want to lock it up. Problem is, it won't fit in my SUV and am afraid of it getting stolen, it's a sweet board.

Do you guys have an idea to locking a longboard on Thule surf racks? I went out and bough a 6ft steel cable and lock, will that do the trick?

Sorry, out of my realm, let me know how you lock your longboard to your surf racks.

The steel cable lock will probably be all that is needed, most thieves are opportunists walking past the car if it is quick and easy to take , GONE :!:
Difficult, then I'll go to the car that's easy. Fortunately where i surf everyone knows each others car hang around and you will be approach as to your intent.
The lock cable comes for going elsewhere :!: Sometime rearranging the seating alignment in an SUV and placing the board diagonally allows a longboard to fit , but have it in a sock as wax on the interior is not nice :!:

ok, better, I bought a plastic coated metal cable and lock but think the ones you recommended are a better deal.

Thanks
