In a quick non friday fashion. Fooking ell im glad to still be in one piece. What a week of wind and waves. Lost both of my heats but to the guys who finished first and second. Had a massive amount of fun, it was a really socialable event, no one took it seriously, there was some seriously good riding going down and the conditions were mental. Lost my triple stringer kiteboard to davey jone's locker whilst riding 8-10ft faces when my kite decided to die and hit the water resulting in a swim in narrowly missing getting draggged up the estaury at saunton.
Day two of the comp was run in cross offshore winds with 10-15ft faces outback by the end of the day. Winds blowing 20kts gusting 45kts. We all took a pasting at some time or another. Even the lifeguard RIB had trouble getting out through the swells.
One night the sea broke over the harbour wall into the car park we were staying in at westward ho. We all had to move, one beach hut got taken by the sea and the sea also broke over the pebble embankment at the ho and smashing into the go kart track.
Exciting stuff it was and much

was consumed too. Also managed a couple of nice little surfs when it wasn't quiote so ridiculous.
