Your goal shouldn't be to get on a small board as soon as possible, it should be to surf and have as much fun as possible.

Cheers guys... Over the moon, everything else is taking a back seat from now on, and I couldn't care less. She's fantastic, and will never look at her mother quite the same again. Don't know how women do it... kinda wondering now why the suffragettes didn't just kick the pants off us and take the vote.

Things are going great... can't understand how on the one hand, I want to smother her in kisses, and on the other, I want to smother her with a pillow, though. (Rough night, don't call child-line just yet).

Seriously though, I've always been a bit of an insomniac anyway, so the disruption isn't that big a leap for me. Back at work now though, so definitely feeling a little less energetic during the day. Haven't had a surf in a while, so how that will work should be interesting, but my wife is taking to it like a duck to water. No idea how she keeps it all going so smoothly. Usual first child anxieties etc, but loving every minute so far. She's starting to get into a routine, slowly, but I won't count my chickens just yet, as every time we think we have her pegged the little terrorist changes the rules.

Without wishing this time away, can't wait to post a pic here of her first wave.
