surfing and cuddle in spain or portugal??

Im planing a holiday and seeking place that i could do surfing on days and have romantic night´s with my girlfriend in august.

i,ve been in water round 15 times, catching waves all right, more problem "understanding" and "reading" the ocean. for my girlfriend it would be first time to do it.

so im looking place to go that could rent boards and take leassons as well. Not looking Ibiza on streets, more likely nice village or city and beatiful beach somewhere in portugal or spain.

planing to travel by plane to country and reach destination by train or bus etc.

so if anyone can tip any place/s would be greater than giving shot by myself ramdomly somewhere.

Have a mate who rates Fuerta Ventura so highly that he bought an apartment over there, goes over with the missus once a year. She doesn't surf and loves it also. He's fit but not a great surfer, so can't be too heavy.
