I'm not, as my name suggests, from austrailia but from sub zero south wales where there's nothing to do but surf pebble beaches till your boots look like edward scissorhans put them on for you!
Hey guys... my name is Barry Alan Michael Bond (bamb)
I surf the Jersey shore April-October (and eat all winter) I have only been surfing 2 years but feel cool enough to say that i picked it up fairly easy.
I have a 6'11" board right now... which is completely customized to look like it was made by the OBEY clothing company.
I skated my whole childhood and now at 27 feel that I will be surfing fo rthe rest of my life.
Hey guys, My name is nikki, I'm 24 and I grew up on the big island of Hawaii and surfed my whole life. I am now living in the desert, going to ASU for a BA in painting and miss the ocean terribly. I have taken up long board skateboarding for now! It's fun but not the same. I'd love to chat with anyone about surfing, it helps me to be less homesick and detatched from my roots.
I feel like such a loser, 'cause I've never been surfing, but I've always wanted to ,and I figured maybe I could get the nerve, but I have no where to start from. Soooo yeah, I need advice, and help and such.
Is that all? Do I just go get a baord, and find a beach, and paddle out? or are there sopposed to be like waves and stuff? or do you learn on like minimal to nothingness? And are you supposed to have someone with you?
