A Shine Longboard?

Hey everyone I just saw an ad for an 8' 10" Shine single fin longboard for $100, and I was wondering if it was worth it. I don't expect it to be available for long due to where I live. But, I also know that's no indication of it's true value. Any input would be awesome, thanks.

It could well be worth it, if you can put $100 in your hand and go see the board, and it is reasonable then that's size is a starter for you. Just see if you can get your hands on it, keep in mind where there is one there will be others.

Definitely appreciate all the sage advice. I don't really know too many longboard specific brands or their values, so I hope it's cool to keep asking about different stuff during and after my hunt. I saw a Greco all white 9ft. longboard for $150 earlier on out craigslist. looked awesome but that doesn't mean anything.

I'm pretty sure a Greco is a soft board but by remote control from Australia I could be wrong.
Go have look around the surf shops looking is free and then you will understand what you are looking for or at , take one of your ex beach bum family with you. Often a surf shop has an older out of fashion but perfectly acceptable longboard or too they need to clear, try bargaining
I checked Pensacola Craig's list, nothing there at the moment. Don't get hung up on brands or stuff just look at the quality of what's in front of you
What you want is patience and you want it right now.

Yeah I definitely need to practice some reserve when it comes to a decision to buy. I was only curious cause if I cant ask anyone then I need to know at least a few decent brands. It stinks but all my family is unfortunately too disconnected from the culture to add anything helpful by today's standards. Unfortunately the shops around me are not the best place to go for assistance in my opinion. I've gone to both of them and one just trys to sell you the most expensive thing and quits being so helpful when you try to aim lower on price. And the other to me has a good selection on used boards, but wants way more than their worth. Or, they just try to push stuff their shaper makes. Plus a young guy who thinks aerials and snapturns are the only thing that exist don't usually give the best advice to someone looking to surf like their grandfather. Gone are the days of the independent surf shops where money wasn't as important as trying to spark a love of something into a young persons heart. But alas, that is the way of the world. And a kook like me will just have to keep searching for that one perfect relic that no one else wants.
