One thing concerned me from a safety perspective: What I learned escaping from that experience is that you have to get much further back on the board to safely catch big whitewash...hanging your hips or more off the tail like a boogie board and the pulling yourself further on the board after you have caught it. I also learned not to go out when it is too big
