i dont mind the getting changed bit soo much, its more the fact that my gets soaked on the inside and stays damp for ages after. its not so bad in the summer as we occasionally get some sun so im able to dry it out. ive spent a fortune on dehumidifiers.

Further thread contribution: Getting changed in the rain is not a problem. Getting changed in the uk winter in minus nine is the problem!

We have just had for the second year in a row serious flooding of our rivers in New South Wales in some case the likes of which haven't been seen for forty years

The ocean is a chocolate brown with the tannin from the dead trees being washed out to sea, some of the rivermouths also have a collection of drowned grazing animal, sheep cows , horses and kangaroos, and of course the big fish are having a fine time. Most of the coastal sewerage systems have been overwhelmed by an influx of rain and so there are overtones of poo added to the rotting carcasses.
The the weather system has generated good swell from the rain front, so surfing is undeturd.

Even the beach is foamed with the espresso coffee foam froth at my local the foam was about 3 foot high my two small dogs ran through it and left two parallel tunnels through it and the foam was enough to completely silence the noise of the waves and it came ashore like browny white lava rolling over itself.
Strangely I went back an hour late to photograph it and it had completely disappeared :?

The camera didn't show how chocolate it really was.
BTW Google earth Pambula, it breaks maybe 3 times a year

Most high school on the coast have a surf team, but I'd pay attention in class rather than mucking around trolling forums.

Start in the broken (white) waves first, maybe at a place where you can still stand on the ground to practise. Maybe take some surfing lessons?
