Well I use them on guns already, in waves of similar size to what i've seen you riding, so the hypothetical part is getting them in really big surf.
Anyway for bigger wave boards I use a small tunnel either behind a single fin or in place of a thruster back fin or quad rear fins.
No fin box is needed the fin is so stable in shape that it only needs to be glued on with some silicone roof sealer, that way it can be moved or removed without damaging the board or installing boxes. That's a tip I got from an engineer in South America who uses tunnels.
Depending on the board and wave size range a tunnel from 4 inch to 8 inch diameter will be ideal. I can make you one in wood if you like, or you could foil one out of plumbing pipe. Do you have a particular board in mind ?
