Surf trip idea for may and june

I'm hoping to go on a surf trip during may and june for most of the two months. i'm based on the east coast of canada so some thing not too are and somewhere cheap would be nice. hoping for consistence and board short weather. i can take or leave tourist. puerto rico was one idea i've been kicking around. anyone ever surf there in the spring?

perfect time to go over to bali.. and with so much time, its well worth it...
gonna be there 6 weeks right in that time frame...
