shortboard or minimal?

ya, i have been surfing for almost one year ,,3 times a week,normally rolling wave,,and i rent the soft board everytime , then i start thinkin' to buy one ,,now what bothers me is i cant decide between minimal and shortboard....

hope get some suggestion from u all. ^^

under what condition shortboard is desired? does it depend on my ability of surfing or the wave i surf?

Your ability is most important. If you consider yourself to be a beginner and still learning how to surf then you should choose a minimal. A minimal is also more suited to "rolling waves". Where do you surf?

oh,,i see, surf in asia area, like Thailand,Malaysia and Indonesia, if have chance, i really wanna try in Australia....and south America, anyway, thank you so much. nimimal it is...
