Hi, just wondering if anyone has any recent experience of these handshaped epoxy boards. From reading various internet forums, the decks were prone to collapse but the posts were from a while ago and the glassing was allegedly improved post 2009 (by using bi-axial cloth). Morally, I'm not keen on GSI/Asian boards but also fed up with the service I get from local shapers. I want a light, performance longboard that will last, at least as long as a PU board. I don't want that stiff, unconnected corky pop-out feel. I've contacted GSI would say the boards are "insane"...but they would, wouldn't they! Anyone have any real experience of these or other SLX boards? Thanks

I haven't ridden one but have spoken to heaps of guy out at Noosa with them and they cant speak more highly of them. the only thing stopping me is the price (Im just a poor factory worker ).
As for the epoxy, one guy I spoke to reckons that they are so tough that only a week before he had a guy run straight over the underside of his board and reckons it should have cut it in half. Seemed to have little effect on it.
If you watch the larger vid (about 9 mins) you can see that they are what looks like a quality board. The smaller vid for the Fireball just describes the features.
Id say if ya got the cash go for it.
