Trip to Fuerteventura

Postby Tommy1209 » Fri Sep 23, 2011 2:09 pm

Hi, I am planning a trip to Fuerteventura, Corralejo in the end of November.
I want to learn surfing, but when i looked for a school, i had to realize, that there are more then 15 school in Corralejo alone.
Can someone give me an advise which is a recommended school there in Corralejo or at least where i shouldn't go to.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Tommy! I don´t know about other schools, but I chose Flag Beach cause I was told that they were good. I had an Irish instructor, really nice person and very good surfer too. We went to Cotillo for 3 days in three differents spots. I had a great time and I wish I could be there soon, but I have to wait at least Christmas. If you have other questions, I will be happy to answer you ok? Happy surfing!

Hai!
I am going in two weeks again and i am going to quiksilver surfschool again.
they have good teachers, an awesome accomodation (its a propper house) in a realy good location, and good school materials (boards and cars).. know the island and its breaks..
one of the best things surfwise about it is tho, that they start their lessons an hour earlier than everybody else, so you usually get the break for yourself for quite some time..

only "downside" is, there are a lot of german speaking ppl there (or were when i was the last time).. so it can be a bit difficult if you arent..
on the other hand, folks who have been there before too, said, they had a good mix when beeing there..
and its a bit more expensive..

homegrown is said to be quite a good school too.. nice ppl, good materials..
but the accomodation is "just" ok, but not realy more..
but less expensive...

all i know so far..

We went to Corralejo a number of years ago when first learning. We organised our own accomodation and used 7 Island Surf. Really nice people - we had a great time.
