Thrusters vs 2+1 fins on minimal

Here's the thing...

Some beginner minimals come with thrusters (bic, NSP, cortez) but some come with 2+1 (like my circle one).

I know you can get long box to fcs converters, so my question is, what is best fin set up for a learner, and should you stick with what the manufacturer has designed in? Does the board shape determine the fin set up? They all look similar to me!!!!

P.S. stood up for first time tonight, briefly, but it's starting to fall into place!! Finding the yoga for surfers really helping. Why didn't someone tell me surfing was this much fun years ago?
