lacquer for cracks on board?

i have these cracks on my new board and i was told to apply acrylic lacquer to them so they dont let water in(they let it in right now). how would i go about doing so? Just spray one layer or do multiple ones?

Not convinced that those cracks would let water in - they may just be 'normal' cracks in the glass - but if they are they'll need to be repaired properly and not with lacquer.
You'll need to get a ding repair kit.

ill just do a layer of solarez over it. that should be fine from what ive seen on youtube

Give it a good sand first and see if you can pick any of the bits of glass away.

It is best to fix the dings correctly. I would sand the area down and repair with fiberglass cloth and resin. If you do not know how to do your own repairs the acrylic lacquer may work just fine. clean the area up to be sprayed and lightly sand, and then spray a couple of coats of the acrylic lacquer over the glass cracks. I think 2-3 thin coats is better than 1 thick coat. The idea is the acrylic lacquer goes into the cracks and therefore helps to seal the board up so water can't get in. If you go this route just keep an eye on the cracks for any moisture getting in (brown color around cracks). If you see this you will want to get the board repaired quickly.
