Novice board?

Novice board?

Postby jerseytom123 » Fri Jul 22, 2011 7:56 pm

Basically I've had about 2 weeks of instructional surf lessons, although one was all the way back in last year. I've been seriously bodyboarding for a couple of years now and find surfing a lot more enjoyable and I'd like to get into it over the summer. For the moment I'm just renting foamies from the surf school but I'm considering purchasing my own board. By now i can catch waves, stand up and trim across the wave on the foam boards I used at the surf school. What board can you recommend? I am going to be the water at least once a week, but for most summer weeks i'll be in more often than that. I'm about 160 pounds and 5ft 9 inches.
Many thanks,
Tom :)
