creased board

Hi everyone I have just been out and have managed to put a crease in the glass of my nose rideŗ. What are you meant to do when you put a crese in the glass? Is it going to be watertight? Is the board now likly to break? Can it be repaired any help would be greatly appreciated

OH Ouch for the board, the crease can be fixed it will however add some weight to the nose of the board but should still be alright.
As a sort of rule of thumb , if the crease has indented the lapping of the glass layers on the rails the board will more prone to break as the double lap on the rails is where a lot of the strength of the board lies.

If you love this particular board then fix, if the nose falls off the old school way way to reshape the offending nose and have a new shorter model, but that depends on where the crease is

The crease was a little too far from the nose

Got the crease in the local longboard competition when a drop in came in a fade as I was heading to do a top turn the nose of his board scored the crease on the bottom of the board as I swung to avoid the collision.
Thought nothing of it for quite some time, and then on a ridiculously small day at another break eskimo rolled under the white water and complete into halves snap. It wasn't even an honourable attempt at something dramatic  Fins were  saved for later use
