I want to book a surf trip for next month (July)

Hi everyone, this is my very first post on here been on the site all morning so decided to join, love the site.

Im 25 and from South Wales I own a company called www.newwavecustomconversions.co.uk which may interest a few of you, My girlfriend bought me a surfboard for my 25th birthday and I love it,im in the water any chance I get I have only stood up a few times and make a fool of myself everytime I go in there but I always come out with a smile on my face I love the sport. I hav'nt been on a holiday for over three years due to setting up my company and working long hours. So I have decided to book a holiday around mid July, I have around £1000 to pay for the flights and hotel for the two of us my girlfriend is pritty easy to please as long as its somewhere really warm where she can get a tan shes happy but I get really bord laying around all day so I wanted to book a hotel near a surf beach so we could spend the day on the beach.

Just wondering if you guys have any advice on choosing a good location with good surf and nice 4star hotels???

MMMM I'd look at Portugal, around the Baleal area I don't have recommendations but there are surf schools and warm beaches and tapas bars, there are a number of thread offering stuff and some surf ads as well .
Portugal is on my list next time I come from Australia to visit my son in Austria, Family SURF REUNION
