when I started, for a session I made a point of concentrating really hard on the pop up on every wave. even if you stack because you lose your balance quickly, after a few waves you should be getting into the rhythm and then it should flow from there. just a way to break out knees first- just be fully determined, 'no knees on this one'. hard at first but it shouldn't take long. good luck!
