2011 Rincon Classic Surf Competition - January 22 & 23

It's on!! Can't wait to see it. Waves have been pretty good most of the week here in Santa Barbara and Ventura county. The Heat Schedule for Saturday is chock full. Surfing starts at 7am and goes to 5pm both days.

The contest is over now. The finals that ran all day Sunday from sun up to sun down were broadcase live on the internet. Hope some of you at distant caught it.

I went to see all these finals today with a buddy and it was fantastic. The weather was perfect (warm & sunny), waves were near perfect, and competitors were fierce in many heats (including the young women). It was all so good -- short boards and longboards.
