Hair conditioner (a must for girlies!)

.... took a dominos pizza last time lol... what!? i get hungry!

6'5" Rounded pin (I'm 6'2", but it can still handle up to 8ft hawaiian, barely.)
I wax my board at home, no use in bringing it to the surf spot where it will be leached.
Water/Juice.
Flask of coffee.
Fruit, and for longer sessions a few sandwiches.
Wetsuit.
Sometimes, on the really epic days, Magic Mushrooms. (Slows down time, and you see every single drop of water, you become the water, you flow with the water. Wipe outs are a little intense though, you explode into a million atoms.)
PS: Mushrooms are 100% non toxic, and smoking cigarretes and drinking alcohol is much more dangerous. They can surface latent psychological issues, as they make you hyper aware of all things, so be careful. They are not for everyone, only for people with strong minds, and NO HISTORY OF MENTAL ILLNESS IN THE FAMILY.

I have to go strongly against you here the mental illness thing advice is spot on, however not everyone knows their family health history!
I've had two step sons destroyed by advice such you've just given, one committed suicide at 19 the other is just putting his life together at 38 after years of psychosis
Be aware also that some people are allergic to Magic and other mushrooms , they can have severe anaphylactic shock (extremely life threatening).

FFS Just stick to surfing advice Kaaimans :yearght:

This and good waves will keep me occupied for as long as its light out.

Normally I just chuck my board(s) in the back of the 4WD, a towel and a bottle of water if I remember.
Don't need much else to surf.

- Spare fins (may be 1 or 2) depends on how rough the sea is and on low tide xD

WOW, Capetown, that's awesome. Isn't the longest ride in capetown?

I usually pack
-wax
-water
-towel
-wet suit when it's cold - two months of the year (Florida may have smaller waves, but cold water sucks)
-really good spf 70 sunscreen

no rash guard needed

I can understand the plasters and bandages if you are going to surf some seriously shallow sharp reefs, but 3 differenet kinds of painkillers? Sorry man but that sounds a little bit wussy like to me. If you really are that afraid of pain I'm sure one kind would do.

I have to say I am lucky I found out soon enoung. The stuff ends up tricking you. Each time you take it you go deeper and deeper, until it is something completely different from when you started. At first it slows down time, adds colour to the world, and gives everything a mushy look. Then it starts to take you down tunnels and tunnels of mind bending strainge things. Although it doesn't toxify you like alcohol and cigaretes, it just does weird things to your mind, and that isn't a good thing. Still better than cigarrettes and alcohol though, which are addictive. Luckely shrooms aren't, but it does lead you down into a mind trap.

moral of the story: only surf under the influence of adrenaline

I come from a family of lifeguards: people drown. surfing should be enough of a rush in itself, it doesnt need 'enhancing'
that's why I do it

but for the thread:
a MUST is natural apricot muesli bars
reckon I have about 4 every surf trip, nothing like them!
