Shortboard NOVICE

Hi, im TOTAL novice. Today i try to surf first time in Gijon, Spain on shortboard, coz i have it for free. Im 170cm, 90kg. Its posibble to learn surf on this type for me? Surf is too 170(like me)...It was really funny and really hard, immposible to stand on surf ....So its possible? Thanks

depends on what the rest of the sizes are for the board. it can be done but will take you alot alot longer to lean on than if you was to get yourself a bigger board to lean on.
