Re: FCS H2 fins?!
A friend of mine was making those shaped fins ten+ years ago and now all the guys who ride his boards swear by them. I have had a go myself and they really fly. If you surf south fistral often you may well have seen some of the local guys on phd boards with these fins, they really do go.
Unfortunately the guy who makes them states that they alter the lift of the tail of the board so simply slinging them on any board is futile, the whole rear end must be shaped with the alternate fin in mind. Love or hate the guy in question he really does know his stuff and I know he has experimented with them in a variety of scenarios.
Ever seen a pro on these FCS H2 fins? Neither have I, could be a costly experiment.
I would suggest sticking to something that has had a lot more water time behind the concept. FCS fancy range of pc 3/ pc5 would make a nice upgrade, double foil with that tasty hexalite gear in the middle. <edit>
