Hi All,

Hoping you may be able to shed some light. I have been surfing for about 10month now on a 7’2 mini mall, their great fun, but after a board that will let me do duck dives and turns.. any suggestions? Only surfing in the small stuff 3ft atm.

I’ve herd egg or fishes are decent but not to sure!

An is is preety much a mini mall with a slightly different tail and nose. I guess you could get one that is higher performance than yours but I doubt it will perform or duckdive much better.

Your next logial step would be a smaller fish or a big guy shortboard or what they refer to as a hybrid. If you post up your weight, height and age some of us in the same category can post up some suggestions.

Yr the egg does look a bit like the mall, but wasent sure if it surfs diffrently.

Sounds great, thanks for pointing me in the right direction! There is so many to choose from, the hybrid sounds pretty decent tho. I’m Currently 163 cm about 5’4 and weigh about 55kg and 23yo.

If you're surfing 3-5' waves and want an easy next step AND want fun, speed, looser feel, turning, duck diving - go for a fish.

Since you're 5'4" you can ride them REAL small. Go for like a 5'6-6' --- Quad or twin.

No sense getting an egg if you have a minimal. Might as well throw something different into your quiver.
