What is your opinion of the new Meyerhoffer longboard?

The board has a skinny midsection and a wide tail and nose, which removes excess board weight. Apparently, it's very maneuverable because the nose pops out of the water easily when you step on the tail, and it is also easy to nose ride because as you move forward, water rushes over the back of the board which increases stability.

I saw it over in noosa launch week, didnt get to ride it but people said it went ok.

But from what I saw that outline causes a lot of drag and throws upa lot of water a normal board would just plane through.

Mark me down as unconvinced.

It reminds me of a throwing knife. I'm in two minds about it; I like the innovation and the shape is kinda sci-fi, but I find myself thinking "it's not surfboard shaped!"
