Metal tipped surfboard....?
Here's a little known fact.... surfboards dont need to be pointy at the front.
Assuming the stringer hasnt sustained too much damage (doesnt look like it has) then I'd simply round that nose off with a sander, then patch up
properly with a couple of layers of fibreglass cloth and some resin, and then sand down until its pretty. Easy.
Ive broken the nose of boards and done a nice rounded off nose a couple of times.
You can also tell your mates that you're riding a board a couple of inches shorter
