Automatic log in and slow forum!

Anyone else suffering with the auto matic log on not working and a very slow forum at the mo?

No probs with the log in, but yeah, very slow.
A few threads simply havent loaded.

me too, not the login but some topics just don't seem to load.

Someone should really have a look at fixing this.....

it was indeed very slow yesterday. but didn't have a problem with the auto-login though.

A few tweaks and the latest versions of server software are now running - this should improve performance in general - there should be no log in problems.

There is still a problem with some posts taking ages to display - (this one for me is an example - http://www.surfing-waves.com/forum/view ... hp?t=13004 ) which I have not solved yet so you might find the odd topic still takes a long time.

if someone comes across a post that always seems to take a while no matter what time of day and the posts DOES NOT have a photo on could you please pm me the url address.

Found the problem with the slow loading posts. It was gixer's avatar causing the problems so any post that gixer had contributed to was freezing up the forum.

gixer - you are a very naughty boy! (and you will have to upload another avatar as I had to delete yours)

Don't you just love the no blame culture I am trying to create around here

After a big ballsup this morning by the hosts - bringing the site to its knees - they have tweaked a few settings here and there and have been monitoring performance. They say they cannot see any problems.

Please keep the feedback coming if you see any slow page load / page hang issues.
