if i knew how to use this computer i would put photos on this page, and it says under my user name im a sponger, how do i change that, i used spongers as buoys i carved big turns around them , in the 70s in california we used to call rafters or boogies, or even knee boarders CRIPPLES, and we used to cut them off all the time, and scream at them STAND UP. WE WERE DICKS IN NEWPORT BEACH ESPECIALLY 54TH STREET BACK IN THE DAY. LOCALS ONLY things have changed thats great for the sport. and when i was a kid surfers were rebels, now surfing is cool, everybody digs it, everybody wants to surf or at least be a poser.

CANCUN, QUINTANA ROO , MEXICO ON THE CARIBBEAN SEA THOSE PHOTOS ARE FROM MY BALCONY . I CAN HAVE FUN LONGBOARDING EVERYDAY HERE, AND SOMETIMES IT GETS LIKE THOSE PHOTOS OF FIRING SURF. THOSE PHOTOS WERE TWO WEEKS AGO WHEN HURRICAINE IKE CROSSED CUBA AND WAS ON OUR SIDE OF CUBA FOR ONE DAY. THE WIND WAS OFFSHORE. BEST PART I WAS THE ONLY GUY OUT. ALL DAY LONG I TOOK THE PHOTOS WHEN I CAME IN . MY KNEES WERE WOBBLING FROM ALL THE STANDUP BARRELS I SCORED. I THOUGHT I WAS BACK IN HAWAII.GNARLYYYYYYYYYYYY

gnarly,
you'll be a "sponger" until you have made enough posts to become a "grom." Then you'll pass from grom to the next stage with more posts. It's automatic and we all started as sponger

Hi
I know that the surfing there is hit and miss, but I going to be there next week and would love to be able to find some waves. I am not bringing my board as it costs too much to take it on the plane if they even allow it! I am looking to rent - long board preffered. I am actaully staying in Puerto Morellos and I heard there is a surf spot there. Where is your shop and what are your rental rates?

Ill be quick and specific to answer your question.
re: Surfboard rentals in Cancun/ Surf Lessons Cancun

Contact 360 Surf School Cancun, they have been around since 2000. They will bring your rental board to your hotel in the Hotel zone. (you can surf behind most hotels in the Hotel zone)...and pick it up when you are done.
360 Surf has a wide selection of boards just tell them what you want at least 1 week before you travel.
To the point
360dave

p.s There are great waves in Cancun...the locals might tell you differently ;)
