a 5'11 body bag should be fine
in the spirit of doing as much myself as i can,for my own fish,i took a trip to he local charity shop and brought my self some curtains, cut them out around my board, pinned it and gave it to my labourer to get his mum so sew it up for me :D
dont be buying any bags yet,im not sure im going to let you have it yet

HA HA HA ,Board torture HA HA . LOOKS GREAT !!! I mean come on man this is only #2 for ya. You are for sure to make mistakes even if you knew all there was to know. So no stress no worries and like I said before you can only get better with time. Is that some blue fog type look i see on the nose area? oh man with a big canvas as that you could do a fade airbrush job and it'll look sweeet!!! Never the less still looks to be a great stick and is there ever an ugly board ???? the worst Ive ever seen still liked it so for your second try you've had verry little oops (Don't worry more will come, ha ha ) Man I've been doing it a long time and well.... Yes still can be faced with the SON OF A B!@$%$#@!!!!! and as I'm sure you know(from being an apprentice once) a master is measured by not how well he/she does but how well can they fix a mistake !!! So relax your trying to over fix, step back take a breath and then move forward again. Next time better see that garrage looking more like a board makers room, and that scaffold makes a great temp garage extention with some tarps,(hint hint)(long board). Good Luck brah any more ??'s just ask I'll help with what I can. Oh yea Been called a star a couple times and don't decode UK that well,, so.... What's a star????

haha.....a star? like a light in anotherwise black sky  maybee someone who see's the glass( ) half full.i hear what you are saying about the garage,it was fine with my 6"2 fish but the extra room i needed for this caused a problem.i have thought about building a room to do this, but in reality i think ill just do with what ive got.you cant give away boards around here, unless it's a bic :?

on the plus side i went for a scan with my wife(she had the scan) and its all good :D ive got a different outlook on life today :D :D

when i saw the"blue fog" i was gutted,i spent so long masking it off,i guess i must have been to hard on the paint gun,i thought "no problem, ill just sand it off" no,doesnt work that way  im planning on doing a design around the logo (which isnt shown) and brining it into the rails.hopefully ill get to surf the fish i shaped sunday, then the world will be just right :D

Na man "K.I.S.S." (keep it simple stupid) perfect time to apply that rule.
That's not that bad of an ouchy. No tape or nothing set the board upright (in a painting area so as you don't overspray something else !!) mix some blue (thin it out realy) and spray surface tip to tail -n- rail to rail at a distance till you have an even blue fog (so to say) coating the entire board a lil heavery in amount than your opps and it will look great the rails will get more coat(turning deeper and/or more even) and the rest will get basicly it's first coat which you can make even and you will never see the opps overspray then logo it and proceed to the finish line.

Sweet brah!!!! Is yer lil grom in the oven a penut or has he/she started looking like an ailien in momma's belly???? HA HA funny how it'll make you think a little different. As like surfing, motorcycles, skydiving, etc. when your doing it you can't think of anything else but that. Same rule but much grander applys to the kid thing and you've just started on this journey so I don't want to scare the begesus outa you!!! ha ha na jus kiddin you'll love it and can never forget it, jus remember you had the easy/fun part of the job momma has all the work and there ain't nothing you could ever do that equals what she's gonna do.

Anouther trick that a bud of mine uses and showed me was he put down his tape (cheap shizz) to where the inside line of tape was where he wanted his paint to stop layed the board flat covered the whole thing tape to tape with taping mud (drywall mud ) and when it was just set (still very wet pulled the tape and what was left was a perfect line where the paint was gonna stop and their was no way of over spray it just went on the dryed mud when he finished painting and letting it dry 24 hrs took out mr. garden hose and wet the mud and wiped it off !!!!! I shizzed myself and to this day laugh at it as well as I've done this trick a many times works killer !!! He called it "poor man's liquid frisket paper sold in the box" HA HA and he was right one box = oh say 100 boards for $5.00 vs 500.00 for 50 boards worth frisket paper.

As for the garage you'll do it, necesity is the mother of invention. My garage is the same as yours but with about 100 times the tools and if I can do it your gonna have a walk in the park.

HA HA HA HA , just pulled a bone head mistake yesterday HA HA thought rightaway of you. Ya can do whatever ya want doodlin around with resin and bla bla bla , But make sure the gloves are on before you add hardener !!!! :bang: :bang: :bang: , had to go pick up the kid from school in about 40 minutes so had time to mix and spread some resin, going allong happly hum de dum and then added hardener mixed well ..... and then went HUH, YOU DUMB ARSE ???!!!! GLOVES !!! HA HA nothing like trying to put on a pair in a hurry !!! Rip, tear, snap, SON OF A @#$%$#@!#@$$#@! I don't have time for this !!!! 4 pairs later as resin has halfway set :? :( , At least I stoped and said nope aint gonna risk it woulda been pist if I had gotten going and had a gel happen halfway to the finish line, ha ha ha (Total rookie mistake) HA HA HA I do have this nice glass looking paper wieght with a popcicle stick set in it ,HA HA think I'll keep it on the work bench as a reminder and named it mistake #523,435 HA HA HA. See man,,,, it happens to us all. Next few times you get some pics/images of the lil grom in mommas belly take em and glass em on a mini piece of foam shaped as a board and You and momma sign the stinger --you-- & --her-- shape/design.

For sure brah there is a ton of things, you've just looked at the moutain so far you havent even started climbing.. That's why I keep telling ya you'll only get better !!! So if your doing (from what I can see) a great job now in you quest ,just think of what it'll be many boards later!! HA HA I still remember my first,,, went real slow and took a lot of time and made it good second even better 3 and 4 even better #5 &#6 .... well ha ha you'll laugh your arse off at em (got cocky with myself) they were so bad they'd make a sober person drink again...ha ha
Here is just anouther dumb FU@K move on my part today HA HA went for the morning surf and it was great, got home played with kid/wife ate took a nap and woke with time to go and spread some resin on cloth all going good (putting the gloves on this time as I'm looking at my new paper weight ha ha ha ) got everything all set up and mixed the resin perfectly... pour it out and start spreading around and.......... SHIZZ!!!!!! wouldent ya know it... nose drip is an understatement had a beautifull stream (1/4 cup or so) of sea water pour outta my nose all over the cloth/board !!!!! well hell !!!!! pull up the cloth fast and clean board quickly, look at the blob of resin/cloth paperwieght I just made and proceed to kick myself in the hairy bean bag sac a few times!!!! HA HA whada ya gonna do??? Look man just laugh at the oops and dang napits because the will continue to happen. You wont be so quick to not check the tape again but you will have a whole book of new mistakes to write about so relax and have fun.

A full face respirator might help with the water puring out of the nose.

i checked out my new set up today 8) 8) 8) superfish...its lookin very good karl...loads and loads of volume (still no duck diving then ),just get a move on with the paint job.........no i mean take your time

if it rides anything like number 1 then i'll be more than pleased

#1 review....after the initial thoughts of is it gonna sink  brandon surfboard no.1 didnt have any problems on the maiden voyage, ridden by its proud owner/shaper grinning from ear to ear constantly saying"it doesn't get much better than this"...and i must admit in the bright sunshine under the clear blue sky with some decent swell and a gentle off shore wind ,it really didn't.....(btw i wonder if jan {karls wife} is stil awake  ).

#1 seemed to paddle really well, catch the waves easy enough (when in the right place),nice turns but most of all it stuck at it even when the waves died n then started to build again giving a good long ride.

keep at it mate

i think making garage bigger would be a good idea, and some heat in there would be nice too  board wise i could do with selling some of my quiver to justify if its for me,ive got a 8'"5 circle one in near mint condition that could go to make for a 9'2 longboard,im thinking a reverse v for this one to cope with choppy north wales waves :D

Paint ??? What paint?? and logos??? what logos??? let's see your concept on logo's on paper or the such and what about paint,,,,, whada you doing now??? Take some pic's and show it,,,,, and make sure you practice your conceptual art on something else first to realy see if it'll work out.

As for the stick,,, gixer ,,, It's a realy nice stick love the shape and the long board princaple with the short board swallow tail and overall lines are a great mix. But what ya gonna do now to it ??? Really if it's to the new creation I say ... WHY it looks fine for any F'ups just leave it, unless your just trying to learn more from time.,,," a journyman is not reveled at how little mistakes he makes but at how he makes them dissapear like they were never there and finishes on time" " the aprentice however will continue to try and try untill they seek out the journeyman to make the mistake gone"

Take some new pics bro to show what it is your thinking.
