Traction pads... are they needed

trac pads are good and evil
myself being a skimboarder where a good trac pad is almost as important as your fitness level=o
too good a trac pad can leave your feet hurt and irritated though!

i agree with getting the dakine pad i got one 2 weeks ago slapped it on my 7'2 funboard and was hella easier to snap em off the lip

yeah it is i also through some wax on mine due to the fact mine is getting a little slick from using it every day but it is a sick pad.

Don't forget guys/gals, the pad also protects the precious 'board and absorbs some dent impact from duckdiving.

^ o rly? ask tom curren how his surfing is improved by a traction pad. they aren't mandatory. my one 6' 4" doesn't have one, but my 6' 2" does. it helps feel, but other than that, wax works just fine

Its cool, I was in a bad mood to add to the internet problem of not being able to read someone's tone. Anyway there was an article in SURFING magazine last month about the most popular traction pads and which pros used them. It might be on their website, its was a good review.
