who rides TUFLITE?

who rides TUFLITE?

got my eyes on my next board and thinkin of going the extra mile (in terms of spending cash) on tuflite construction.

anyone riding these? is it worth the extra cash? any insight would be great. currently riding the SLX epoxy

i tried them in the demo last time. not much flex. the board doesn't feel natural. but i can still ride it down the face make some trick, but can't do those trick as welll as on the poly or my carbon fiber.

I just bought mine, it's tuf as sh*t, you can drop it or hit it against sh*t and she won't break, knick, or ding, it's more bouyant than a lot of other shortboards, it's fast as a m#%@@#r! I've only ridden for one weekend, see where I live it's been flat for what seems like the last year. Here's a picture of it, it's an Al Merrick 6'4 Tuf-Lite Image

epoxy boards to still ding and snap! a surfboard is still a surfboard

Tuflite is awsome when you're hauling a large board down to the beach but miserable when there is any sort if chop.

get a board shaped. if you want ir durable get it glassed thick. or find a shaper who will do it in epoxy for you. tuflites feel weird.

and i saw drownings fish when he put a fin through it. so they do ding.

yeah been speaking to few friends who have a tuflite board in their quiver and both said if it came down to it they'd choose traditional construction over it. im a bit concerned about the lack of flex so decided on getting a custom fiberglass as a next board unless i get the chance to try out a tuf board in the water

thanks, man, i like it i just wish we would get some decent swell so i can ride the damn thing!
