Peace Corps and surfing

Peace Corps and surfing

Hey, I was thinking after college that I do peace corps. The only problem is that I heard you don't pick your country, that peace corps just places you in one. Is there anyway I could get to surf and do peace corps at the same time, because there is no way I can do two years and three months of no surfing.

since its volunteer and they'd be happy to have you.. i think you can kinda request a place with a ocean? i dont know.. it just seems reasonable that they will

not so sure. I know someone who did it and ended up going to kzgekistan (sp) now theres no way on earth they actually voluntered to go to that hole well at least i dont think :?

Ya, I'd love to go to like costa rica or fiji, but I don't know what the chances are. There's no way in hell I'm doing it if I'm going to be landlocked.

I have wanted to get into the Peace Corps since I was 12, now I'm 17. Since I've learned to surf and read this thread you shed some new light on my opportunity. I will most certainly look into trying to get a place next to some waves when I get out of college.

My uncle did brazil in the peace corps....didn't surf but he adopted a kid
