the feedback doesnt matter, only beginners would buy boards on ebay... and beginners wouldn't know a good difference between a good board and a bad board. Real surfers would know to buy it from a local surf shop or someplace more reliable. Their ebay page claims that these boards are hand made... cool... you know what's funny though? there was a "made in china" sticker on them.

I'll give these boards some credit for their ride though, it caught waves nicely but for them to break so easily.. it's just not worth it.

Despite their feedback, my advice for anyone looking at these boards will be - dont fall for it... it's cheap... but u get what you pay...-

Are you saying all pop-outs are bad? I find the ones coated to last MUCH longer than regular shaped. Sure, they may not be performance boards. Hell, Firewire surfboards are pop-outs too. They aren't hand made and surfers swear by them.

nope, im not saying pop-outs are bad at all. They're very good for beginners, and they do last much longer because of their strength. I'm just saying if you want to buy a pop-out... dont buy it online where you wont have any idea if the sellers themselves are even surfers... buy a pop out from a shop. I have a pop-out board too... 7S aussie fish... it's cheaper and lasts long- bought it at a local surf shop, people who actually would choose something for you that's worth your money.

I just purchased a 12' for paddleboarding/surfing from him, so this should be a mostly unbiased review to come....

Wow thats missguided a lot of surfshops dont know toffee from banana or they just wanna sell you what they got. Thats why i only shop at certain surf outlets as i know the people.

I dont think I agree wth you guys these boards are pretty good, especially for the price, sounds like the surf shop you guys are going to is just pissed that someone has figured out what most of the Big shops have been doing for years, having the boards shaped overseas then putting a big price on them how do you think they pay for all that advertising ???

Ban cheap China Popouts You get what you pay for. And as for "most of the big shops". I have never been to a big shop that had the sales people know what is a good board. They are there to sell clothing, sunglasses and flip flops not boards.

I think I will go to Costco for my next board.

Millennial ????!!!!! HA HA HA,,, Just one more of China's pop outs !!!!! As for hand shaped,,, again HA HA HA !!! Running sandpaper on it for a couple seconds due to it being 99% cnc after it pops outta it's mold and smearing spackle on it and sanding smooth takes about um... say 5 min and it's off to get cloth.... HA HA . Really come on man !!!! How does it feel to know you just helped bring down the surfboard/surf industry one more notch????? Support a Shizz hole country on humman rights,enviromental,labor,quality !!! 99% of all the crap comming from china is junk !!!!!! General rule is if it's made in China buy 2 or 3 cause everything from there is throw away shizz!!! I won't repair em cause they are junk let allone would have to charge once for repair twice for ya being a dumb azz and three,four,five times for knocking down a art/skill/life of surfing,plus my repair would be half azz at best. I recomend for dings, HA HA use poly resin and make sure you work it in deep!!! One should feel happy they've contributed to their local land fill, helped take some job away from thier contryman and supported all the wrong doings China has to offer!!!! As for 3000 positive comments HA HA....Do you see palm froms sticking outta my back??? NO... well that means I did'nt just come off the boat... For all who don't support the real surf world items/shapers etc. Feel good about your barrny decision for it has truly helped bring the surf world to puke factor 10. Hmmmm (as I file my fins sharper) Don't mind droppin in and running over a few Millennial sticks. Um... did ya ever happen to see how many surfers there are in China??? Or how many pro's come from there?? Oh I get it.... See all the hot surf breaks to surf at in China...????

You shouldn't automatically assume that from what I said. There's nothing wrong with pop-out boards, especially for beginners. I don't any caring surf shop would want to sell a crazy nice board to a beginner who wouldn't even put it to it's full potential. My shop was choosing something that I can actually work and learn on. He could have pushed heavily for me to get the more expensive webber board he had also but he didn't. I'm really confident that they didn't just try to sell me some random board that sucks.

Anyways... all in all... millennial boards suck. They're supposed to be EPOXY but they ding and crack easy as hell. They have nice designs on them but... seriously... they are not street-epoxy boards. They are china-epoxy boards. I took a ride on another epoxy that cost $100 more... completely different... that board was way lighter even tho the board was nearly 4 inches longer and 1 inch wider. On top of that, that board was strong... not like the millennial wannabe's

isaluteyou is absolutely right. If your gonna take surfing seriously. You need a good board to start with. As I have posted in this thread. Does a newbie need top of the line performance board that will cost you $1,100 (US Dollars)? No way. What you need is a board and you can get good boards that you can start on and grow on and even always have in your quiver say for $500-$650. The cheap popout boards are $300 (I think, I don't even look at or price them). Another point I think is right that I made. When you get good enough to do more than a bottom turn you need to get a new board!!! OK so you spent $300 on a popout. Now you have to get a better board that you should have had in the first place. Not only can you learn on but do more than a bottom turn. Now you have to go spend another $500-$650 for the right board that you should have had in the first place. Lets do the math
$300 (cheap popout) + $600 (All around board = $900
or
Buy your first board that is good for the area you surf in for $600, one that you can learn on and grow into.

If my math is correct that extra $300 could be used for a wetsuite or save and put towards that high performance board that you may be able to ride a couple of years down the road.

I also realize there are very good popout boards made and expensive. I am talking about the cheap arse ones.

And of course there are always used boards that are good that wont cost you $500-$650 that will do the job.

I don't know about the Millennial shortboards, I buy shortboards from local shapers.
Since I'd never owned a longboard, and didn't want to spend a lot for one, I bought an
8' Millennial (that's long enough) off ebay for $325 including tax.
After a year and a half, I have not had any of the problems associated with this brand described in this thread.

that's true, but most people who just begin to start surfing arent really THAT serious to spend half a grand at first, it's a lot of money. And either way... it is as easy or even more easy to resell a cheaper used pop-out board than higher end board. anyways... i'm poor

and there I agree with you too. If your not going to be serious a cheap popout will do the trick because one who is not serious will not be any good. That is where that person should rent one to see if the person interested wants to get serious.As far as being poor, I would suggest a good second hand board.
