Water is getting COLD, 42 F, Need a new wetsuit...Any Advice

Postby RyanB » Tue Aug 05, 2008 3:48 pm

The water is getting pretty cold for me and I need a new wetsuit. The water is currently 42F and getting colder... Which is the warmest? The closest shop around here is 280 km north, a two day trip, and I want to make sure it fits and want to only have to go once! Any suggestions would be helpful. I currently have a Henderson that my dad got me years ago when he was in the states. It's ok in the water, but it is very cold in the wind or when I am up. I don't have very much body fat and therefore get cold really easily. I prefer a 3/2 so that I can still move, but will try what ever you guys suggest. I only get one chance though, I don't make it north very often.

My buddies are telling me to get an Rip Curl F-Bomb or a O'neill Pyscho Freak.

where are you? 3/2 wouldnt be warm enough in cold water, if its 42F then you'll need a 5/3

Definitely hooded. Get the gloves and booties too.

If you check www.whiskeymilitia.com they will sometimes have like Rip Curl F-Bombs for 150. Get some steals.
