Wetsuits for the vertically challenged...

Postby ChasingDaylight » Sat Jul 26, 2008 7:25 pm

Ok, so i'm only 5'2 and i'm really finding it hard getting a wetsuit to fit me height wise. I have an oneill epic atm which fits fine, except in the legs. The knee pads are half way down my shin and the legs just seem to carry on forever...whereas mine don't.

Anyone know any good suits for shorties??

If you are femle, you may find pre-made suits for teenagers may fit. If not, then you will have to get a suit made to order. See if Hotline wetsuits in Santa Cruz can make one for you. If they can't, then you can Google wetsuit repair, wetsuit custom, and wetsuit made to order. Along the way, you'll see that the repair shops will alter suits. So, you may find it cost effective to have your existing wetsuit altered to your requirements.

I got a custom suit cause I was too fat for off the rack, and was very happy with it.

Hotline will make custom suits, but only in the sizes they already offer - they only adjust the length of the legs and arms and it costs $100 extra. I have the opposite problem of you - I need a taller suit which is why I contacted them =) Unfortunately, my height isn't in my limbs, it's in my torso so Hotline's custom suits won't work for me but it sounds like they could be a perfect option for you.
