help me decide between these two boards asap!

hey guys, I've been looking for a used board for a couple weeks now and finally found some. This would be my first board after a couple lessons on a long board. the instructor said i could go for something in the mid 7' range... i'm 5-7 140lbs.

which of these would you guys be more interested in:

Maybe the instructor said you could go for something in the mid 7 foot range, but I think you'll have more fun with a 9 foot lonboard that is at least 2.75 inches thick and 22 inches wide. A board like this will provide lot of floation. Beginners need all the floatation they can get. A board like this is also very stable. Stability is also something beginners need lots of.

The first link does not work. The second link works but I doubt that board will work for you as a beginner. If I can tell from the picture it has a lot of rocker. Not good for a beginner. I agree with billie_morini. Get something around 9ft.

Oh my god - the longboard mafia is at it again!

He's 5-7, 140 lbs. a 7-something will float him just fine. Geeze. For newbies, longboards are good for those 200 lb, 6-foot 35-40 year olds. Otherwise, go funboard or shorter.

Anyway, that second one, the 7-3.. looks like it's be good. 2 3/4 inches thick, nice and wide, a touch smaller than 2 feet bigger than you.. should do fine.
