I have surfed for 2 years but will be going to my first comp in a few weeks. I was wondering how they scored you and what the layout of the surf comp is like?

Just google it....

the usual set up is 20-30min heats
15-20 wave limit
top 3 scoring waves give you your heat score.
rated on length, style, manoeuvres etc.

Usually the top pros always whine when they didn't get the good wave. Well obviously, you need good waves to impress the judges.
