It's not quite as simple as that though - there are hundreds of different size and shaped decks with lots of different flexes to them. Added on to that there are hundreds of different trucks and wheels. Each component gives a different feel to the board.
Providing you visit a good skate shop, or seek good advice before you go shopping, you'd be able to buy separate deck, trucks and wheels and then set the board up with the exact feel you ar elooking for.
That's one of the things it seems skate guys love, being able to chop and change and adjust all their components to get a board just how they like it.
