Photography sites and the Sigma 50-500mm

Postby derbyshire surfer » Thu Mar 27, 2008 9:59 pm

Hi,

Just wondering what the most professional looking 'free' photography websites people use are? I've had a go with 'flickr' but can't see a way of changing backgrounds etc.
Been playing a lot with my Nikon D50 and got a few 'decent' (obvioulsy room for improvement), shots maybe worth showing off.
I will maybe get my own site one day, but for now probably a free site would be o.k.
While I'm on the subject has anyone got experience with the Sigma 50-500mm lens? (Bigma). I use a Nikon 55-200mm VR DX lens planning on going 'large'!

Cheers

Bigma is OK. But not fantastic.

Unfortunatly with nikon your left with the iffy 80-400 or the expensive 200-400.

Again, unfortunatly, I often use this website to compare, but it doesnt do nikon... bigma vs 100-400L

photozone.de mebe a worthwhile look.

But be aware sigma will have the bigmas replacement out , a 150-500 with OS.

Cheers for that RJD and hang11. I have looked at the 200-400 like you say expensive! Guess I'll just keep looking.

I personally can't imagine a lens with such range being of good optical quality. I might be wrong but that's just such a huge range...
