Types of surfboards

Currently, I am riding on a 6'8" flyer and I use the same board for all different types of waves. Small, overhead, choppy, soft, you name it I use it and that is because I only have one board.

I am thinking about starting to add a new board to my collection every year or two. I am curious for those of you with more than one board, what types of boards do you guys have and for what types of waves?

i currently have 3 main boards i ride with a 4th on its way.

my 6'4 shortboard is for everyday use will take it up up to about 10ft its great in fast beach break its okay for inside reef takeoffs as well but does not preform good in thick ledgy waves.

my 6'8 shortboard is for bigger waves say 10ft+ also used for thick waves that some of the reefs produce.

My 7'6 funboard is basically my small small small wave board - the choice in ankle slappers.

I have a 6'1 on its way that is when i finished shaping it - thats gonna replace my 6'4 in chest to OH waves im hoping i can carve it out to preform in hollow beach break and give me an edge in super steep takeoffs.

I also have a 5'10 fish and a 6'5 fuller shortboard being shaped not sure what the hell im gonna do with them......... Then again im sure i will find a place - you can never have too many boards all my boards are tri fin set-up although intend on turning the fish into a twinner and at some point i wanna get a quad shortboard.

Currently it goes...

6'10 big shortboard (rounded square, thruster) - big waves, and - paradoxically - smaller gutless waves.

6'6 hybrid fish (swallow tail, two fishy fins and a small stabiliser centre fin) - small or mushy waves. Also one for the big crumblers.

6'3 shortboard (round tail thruster) - clean, powerful waves.

6'3 quad (swallow tail, four fin set up) - clean, small-medium waves.

6'3 fish, works from anything from knee high wind slop to overrhead

6'6 squah tail-glassy clean powerful days

6'6 swallow tail- main board of choice these days- works in nearly all conditions up to overhead

6'7 fat boy flyer-overhead days when you want something that will paddle you in a bit early

7'6 mal-for the summer

10' single fin, high performance longboard. Rounded nose for doing 10, pin tail to reduce drag, increase turning performance. Slight concave V around fin box in center. Low rocker, real plank. All conditions, all sizes (So Cal waves).

I should mention that despite owning a fairly varied selection of boards to suit a lot of different conditions, a streak of perversity in me means I'll often take out the least suitable board for the conditions...

She's my favorite, so I ride her a lot. I've got some other boards, but she's my sweet.

my fave board is 6'6 can use it in anything but harder to ride when it gets steep (needs a new fin plug but will get it repaired when i go back home)

had to get my old board out because the 6'6 is broken atm this is 6'2 but i seem to like it a lot more now but thats just because we've had good waves recently, mainly for bigger or hollower surf.

and now KS is going to be making me a board and can't wait to get on it!

5'11 shortboard for waist high to head high.

6'5 shortboard for the big stuff and reefs.

6'8 funboard for the small stuff

replacing the 6'8 with a 5'8 fish from ks.

I have a:
6'2" Xanadu crecent tail
6'4" squash tail
7'6" funboard
and a 6'2" fish quad that I am waiting to get back from the glasser
Mostly surf my 6'4" great all around board.
