Lol I used to be really close one time to a dolphin... Scared as hell... I thought it was a shark. But good thing those guys were just chilling along the line up!

Keep up the good pictures! I really loved the first pic!

The dorsel fin is shaped differently on sharks and dolphins, easy to tell apart, but yes, I've gotten a good fright on occasion before I knew the differences.

I m still confused :cry:, but I just regard every of those fin looking dude to be dolphin. Because the chance of greeting a shark is greater than the chance of me getting a girlfriend. :oops:

A couple of falls(time of year) ago I had 2 come within 4 or 5 feet from me. They were just swimming up the coast. It was so fleshin' cool.

Great pics mate.

Its funny when in the water you can get so confused as its not the norm seeing something popup next to you :lol: A few days ago i had one fleshing huge seal popup and start snorting at me scared the granny out of me :lol:

oo i surfed hb wednesday morning and there were a ton of dolphins. they're always out when the conditions are calm. i saw a guy catch a wave next to me with 3 dolphins surfing the same wave. it was a pretty amazing sight.

hmm nice pics , thats a decent lens if you dont want something fast, BDW find it focuses quick enough for surfing?

I found it worked pretty good for surfing pics. Got some good pics of short boarders a while back. They came out pretty good.
