if you would like to hear some non-humourous hiphop H' .. checkout old UK crews like .. Gunshot, Katch22, Unanimous Decision, Demon Boyz, 11:59, Blade, Blade & Mark B, London Posse, Skinny Man, .. the list goes on but the above guyz are the cream of the UK crop ..not that you'll ever here or see them now :evil:

no cash for UK rap unless your name is Kano (s***) .. or Streets (equally s***) ..or Dizzee Rascal (annoyingly s***)

Unfortunately UK Hiphop bit the bullet the same as US hiphop has..the only difference being that JZ and his equal muppets like 50pence have sold out like a cheap liquer store ... most US rappers now are too busy promoting crappy perfumes and colognes and s*** clothing ranges, or doing cross-over tracks with no soul :evil:

and brotherrrrrrrr ... dont even get me started on these so-called super producers like Kanye Vest and Poof Daddy .. hmm lets buy cheezee 80's instrumentals and lay lame ass rhyme's over them ... " yeh :yearght:

London Posse reminds me of skating with my mates...we saw Rodney P in brighton a few years ago.

Cheers for that Luke, I like that track, heard it a few times....I'm guessing on the Zane Lowe show and it struck and chord straightaway. I personally like Dizzee Rascal, i like the whole album (sure I skip tracks sometimes but it mostly flows well) which is a rareity for me - im more of a greatest hits girl usually :wink:

. I seem to remember listening to some Skinny Man a long time ago, it didnt really do it for me at the time, tastes change though.

Thats the thing I like about 'breakthrough artists' such as Dizzee Rascal, as much as it may narrow the music industry into looking for certain uk hip hop artists that kinda fit the same mold, i think it's good for the UK hip hop industry (to a certain extent - as much as can be hoped for) in that people become more interested in stuff this side of the pond instead of constantly looking to the US.

After listening to 'Maths and English' the first time (the kids at youth club introduced me to it) I have been more interested in UK hip hop. If it does the same thing for other people, that can only be a good thing?

The first rap I ever heard was on the John Peel show (English DJ) in the early eighties from a new york rapper. The gist was that some dude was late for work so stole a pushbike. This eneded in a police chase and him getting caught. the punch line was that it was saturday and his day off. Anyway it was really funny and as far as i can tell rap is incredibly funny. I like G-rap too to an extent.
