does skimboarding help you surf

Im a beginner but i did skimboard before so im just curious if skimboarding helps you surf

Helps a ton with top turns. Not with bottom turns.

I'll say so.. definitely a great way to train your balance and coordination :)

I broke a big toe so badly skim boarding that I could not surf for a month. So, "no," skim boarding doesn't help with surfing.

hey ive skimmed for 2 years and never broke anything :D and the only tricks i cant land are 360 bigspins and kickflips
