What you listen to?

What you listen to?

Normally don't like these threads.. but it's been a long, long time since i last updated my music.

What do people listen to before they are about to go out to catch some waves?

Thanks!

Busted up my spine pretty bad a few years back, and due to the advice of 3 surgeons, I've pretty much stayed out of the water. Sold all my boards except one, but you only live once, so I'm back to surfing. Having a 9.4 tri stringer shaped right now.

Acoustic and slow rhythm music works best for me I find, Hans Zimmer is an unintentional genius when it comes to relaxing music to get you into the 'Zen-like' frame of mind for surfing. Some of Mark Knopfler's acoustic tracks are very chilled out and mellow as well.

Would anyone find that the music they listen to before jumping into the water affects their surf?

It really depends on my mood. I am on a more alternative side kind of music person.

I don't listen to anything in particular before a surf. But before going to sleep I like to listen to psychedelic stuff. It's so amazing even when I'm sober.
