Your goal shouldn't be to get on a small board as soon as possible, it should be to surf and have as much fun as possible.

I just thought you Arborphiles might like to see and Australian tree that is growing on my property, it is an Angophora Floribunda, also known as a rough barked apple gum.
The two strange critters in the tree are Austrian Lederhosen Tischlers ( carpenters) who took up an invitation to visit and turned up in their Guild Lederhosen.
If you are planning on having your chainsaw qualifications in Australia you need to know that this in one of the softest Eucalypts and can be cut with teeth settings similar to soft wood cutting.
The rest of Australian hardwoods, special settings and different axe sharpening

Cool tree Jaffa. Real character, wouldn't like to put a chainsaw near it. Would love to set a rope in the canopy and have a swing around it though.

Happily they are trees that do nothing except look amazing and give oxygen.
So it is there for life as everybody thinks it's special!

For the Arborphiles again, this is our local forest
Yalmy-forest-Peter Campbell-Dsc_0753.jpg

, there is a great area of national park near where I live ( thankfully) and the Australian mountain ash (Eucalyptus Regnans)

which was most likely the tallest trees on the planet, taller than the Californian redwoods.
A medium tree. Like the redwoods they were extensive harvested and sadly some axemen liked to set records by what they chopped down.
